SecuGen and HealthHighway partner to provide web-hosted healthcare applications secured with fingerprint biometrics

Santa Clara, CA (June 17, 2003) - SecuGen Corporation, a worldwide leader in optical fingerprint biometric solutions, announced today a partnership with HealthHighway, Inc., provider of Medical Practice Management and a common communications platform for virtual hubs and offices used by healthcare providers, patients and managed care organizations.

HealthHighway has integrated SecuGen's Internet biometric authentication solution, SecuIBAS, to enhance password logon to its comprehensive suite of applications. By using fingerprints to verify users, SecuIBAS provides additional security measures to help clinics and medical practices meet HIPAA mandated security regulations. HealthHighway's products and services include subscription-based applications, such as scheduling, medical data recording and billing, electronic medical records and document management, which are designed to be accessed through the Internet by healthcare providers, administrators and patients alike.
