Corporation introduces new biometric optical mouse EyeD OptiMouse
SecuGen will showcase its latest addition
to the EyeD family of PC peripherals - the EyeD OptiMouse
- at COMDEX Fall 2000
San Jose, CA (November 13, 2000) - SecuGen
Corporation, a leader in the biometric industry, will introduce
the new EyeD OptiMouse at Comdex Fall 2000.
The EyeD OptiMouse is the newest product
in SecuGen's line of intelligent biometric peripherals and connects
to the PC through a USB interface. The EyeD OptiMouse has a new
ergonomic design, an optical laser pointer, and a scroll wheel
with programmable buttons for enhanced functionality. The optical
pointer has no mechanical parts that ensures long lasting and
maintenance free use. Additionally, the mouse can operate on almost
any surface whereby eliminating the need for a mouse pad or flat
surface. The fingerprint recognition module has a compact design,
patent-pending scratch proof platen and state of the art fingerprint
extraction and verification technology.
The introduction of the EyeD OptiMouse
expands SecuGen's line of biometric peripherals and offers users
another choice for secure and convenient access to confidential
data, Internet transactions, and network security.
