Code Access' CAS-2000 Code Access
Fingerprint Reader is leveraging SecuGen technology to offer its
customer positive identification and enhanced security capabilities.
SecuGen's Fingerprint Recognition
Module combines biometric technology with a superior minutiae-based
encryption algorithm. Biometric technology automatically recognizes
an individual based on his or her physical characteristics, while
the algorithm software provides unmatched levels of security by
encrypting and storing fingerprint template data in a file that
isn't linked to any personal data on the PC or information system.
The compact unit incorporates a patent-pending optical prism technology
that resists physical impact, scratching and extreme weather conditions.
"We are very pleased with
our relationship with Code Access and their new access control product,"
said Chuck Gragg, OEM Director at SecuGen. "Fingerprint recognition
technology which offers positive identification through one-of-a-kind
fingerprints eradicates the inherent weaknesses and added expenses
of a card access systems in which the card can be lost, misplaced,
stolen or damaged."
